Tend Therapy Space offers individual therapy services in Naperville, Illinois for adults, teens, and pre-teens at every stage of life. Whether you’re looking for support with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, or personal growth, our licensed therapists and mental health coaches provide individualized, compassionate care, both in person at our Naperville office and online throughout Illinois. We welcome you wherever you are in your journey.

We offer support in exploring and healing deeply held identities and beliefs that can consist of guilt and shame, trauma, rebuilding and/or reconnecting to a sense of self and identity for men and women learning to live more authentically.

For those facing major life transitions, exploring the messy middle of midlife, considering separation, divorce, seeking affair and/or betrayal recovery, or the complexities of parenting, we provide guidance through every stage and every phase and transition, including estrangement from adult children, caring for aging parents, or working through later phases of life like retirement, illness and bereavement.

We also offer mindfulness and spirituality exploration for individuals navigating spiritual and faith crises and therapy for caregivers and therapists as well.

Each session lasts 55–60 minutes, and the length of your journey with us is unique to you. Some clients find what they need in a single session, while others choose ongoing support over weeks or months, some even years. There is no set timeline—only the one that feels right for you.

Why Tend?

Our clients often reach out to us for individual therapy for themselves or someone they love, when they’re looking for relief from anxiety, uncertainty, discomfort and depression, the weight of grief and loss, hurt and betrayal. Feelings like confusion, losing interest in life and things that were once joyful, conflict, or any unwanted emotion or behavior that feels persistent, the desire for clarity, connection and understanding are only some of the reasons people seek our therapy services at Tend.

Our small group practice of therapists and coaches help individuals with a wide range of thoughts, emotions and experiences from seeking more fullness and general wellness to navigating conflict or emotional hostility at home or work, within their relationships with family members, partners or the workplace.

Frequently Asked Questions About Individual Therapy in Naperville, IL

Still have questions? Please Contact Us through our online form below.

  • Individual therapy is a confidential, one-on-one process where you work with a licensed therapist to explore challenges, patterns, and goals in a supportive environment. At Tend in Naperville, IL, sessions are 55–60 minutes. Some clients find clarity in just a few sessions; others benefit from longer-term support. There is no set timeline, only the one that’s right for you.

  • A therapist is typically the right fit if you’re navigating mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief. A coach may be a better fit for goal-setting, performance, and life direction when mental health is generally stable. At Tend, we offer both, and our team can help you figure out which approach fits your needs during an initial consultation.

  • Most of our therapists are in-network with BCBS PPO and UnitedHealthcare (Optum) plans. We recommend calling your insurance provider to verify your individual benefits. We are happy to provide a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement if needed.

  • You can reach us anytime via our Appointment Request Form and usually reply within 24 hours during the week and 48 hours on the weekend.
